Dear Albuquerque Peace and Justice Center community,

We are writing to remind everyone that tomorrow night, September 26, beginning at 6:00pm, we have the honor of hosting Leonard Peltier for a fundraiser for him. 

Peltier was released from prison last year to serve the remainder of his sentence in his home. He will join us virtually to speak about his views on current affairs, including socialism, Palestine and successes and challenges to Indigenous sovereignty. We also will have local speakers reflecting on the importance of his legacy, including activists in the movement for solidarity with Palestinian political prisoners, abolitionists, and Indigenous organizers building a strategy for winning back land and caring for nations.

We are so grateful we can learn from and stand in solidarity with our movement elders while they are alive. Peltier’s work has impacted so many of us, especially here in New Mexico. We hope you can be there for this historic event.
